Motocross

I didn’t have the fortune of growing up racing motocross like many of the other girls and ladies that I compete against. I grew up playing team sports like basketball, volleyball, rugby, and sometimes trying out individual sports. I found a love for rugby and ended up playing at many different levels. After 8 years of playing rugby I decided to hang up the cleats and try something new. Motocross has been a very unexpected journey for me. First starting off on a CRF 100, I didn’t know if I’d enjoy the experience, or even want to continue. At the end of the season I ended up buying my own bike. The following season, I decided I’d give racing a try! The first race I ever attended was very nerve wracking but also thrilling. I didn’t know what to expect or how anything worked at these types of competitions. After finishing off that first competition, I was excited to get back on the track and begin to learn new things. I have accomplished a lot more than I expected of myself. I always try ways to challenge my abilities and learn new techniques on and off the track. I’m excited for future competitions and to see what I am capable of. “
